Will I be told the outcome of the assessment?
Following the assessment, the findings and opinion of the specialist will be discussed with you.
Sometimes explanations will be limited and there are a variety of reasons for that. In some situations the specialist may need to await the results of investigations before providing a full opinion. On other occasions the specialist may need to do some research after the assessment, e.g. a literature review on best practice management or on the likelihood of workplace causation.
The specialist encourages the referrer to send a copy of the report to yourself and to your family doctor. If you want a copy of the report then you will need to request it from the referrer.
